Its Been a Long Time Coming
Filed under Uncategorized by barebraes at 9:38 am on Mar 31 2009
Well things have been ticking over but to be honest since my last blog I cant understand that were nearly into April and I have no news or pretty pictures of any significance whatsoever.
Life seems to have sucked Barebraes into a huge big black hole and days pass by without any excitement or catastrophe.
This is the turning point I think …. things need to move on
Spring is round the corner and Im going to dust off the Winter and set free the Summer.
No more moping around the house looking at unfinished walls and un rendered brick . Its time to take action and embrace the good feeling that Summer brings. Although looking out the window today (yes I have a window) I can see a grey sky and various ducks and chickens scrapping around in the drizzle wishing they were somewhere else. Now the clocks have changed it is nice to be able to see things at 8pm and hopefully that will spur me into action
I hope that we have a good Summer and perhaps my next post will show a few changes around the place

I like the idea of dusting off Winter, Barebraes. Purrhaps you and Mr B could have a ritual dusting-off (with suitable costumes of course!) and a few photographs might ensue…I think Mr B would look awfully fine as The Green Man
Its what the Irish call a ’soft’ day. Unfortunately we have the unwelcome addition of a stiff breeze, which turns a gentle smirr into a waterproof-penetrating power-wash.

Maybe Hooch and the kitties can help with the dusting

I thought you had the winter blaas or blues. It’s ages since we had a blog. Have you been busy with mr Barebraes hibernating?.

Steady there Harryd! Islandblogging is a smut-free zone…isn’t it Barebraes?

And there was me thinking that the trouble with the clocks changing is there is longer to be able to see all the jobs still needing doing.

does hibernating have a few different meanings fc ie cuddling etc.

Time to show us a pic of those decorative stones you have been putting in a pile by the driveway (or was it the garden). Barebraes. Have they gathered moss? Is Hooch putting on weight, or is that an illusion?

Hey Barebraes - did you know the travelling tea cosy is in Orkney? I’ve got it at the moment - would you like it next? If you don’t know what I’m on about - better read Landlady’s posting about the tea cosy going a-travelling! FC’s had it, now me, and we thought other Orkney Bloggers might benefit from the love. Let me know and I’ll get it to you!
Spring japery, indeed!

Are you joining in the Travelling Teacosy extravaganza barebraes? (’Scuse me for asking if you’ve already registered an interest elsewhere, but I thought you sounded a bit down…and the teacosy is already in Orkney)

Make sure you get in touch with Her Majesty the Landlady on Great Cumbrae barebraes, for she is the custodian of the True Teacosy, all others are mere pale imitations! (ie View From The Helm).
