The Cosy Goes for a Spin
Filed under Uncategorized by barebraes at 5:07 pm on Apr 18 2009
Well Day Two and the Tea Cosy was kindly invited to a Jaunt at Haughland House. There was a spinning weekend and yours truly and the Cosy decided that we needed to learn the art of spinning and plying.
So off we went
We arrived at Haughland in time for Tea and Biscuits and were shown the fine art in spinning with wheels and other implements…..
After Lunch we went for a stroll aroung the grounds and found a few things to look at
As you can see the Cosy was well and truly spoilt to a truly interesting day
What other adventures will it have

I feel this Tea Cosy [note it has graduated to capital letters!] must be thankful it belongs to such a dedicated owner, or is it like a cat and has a master, who is ensuring a life of travel and excitement in exotic travels! Where next?
Landlady, I fear your Tea Cosy may arrive home with ideas above its station and will demand a suitable display cabinet … with photos illustrating its greatness.

Yes Plaid, I fear that just keeping my lowly pot warm will seem dull to Tea Cosy. I may wake to find it’s slung a stick and spotted hankie over it’s ..er…bobble and gone back out there to quench it’s thirst for foreign travel. Or will it make my other tea cosies feel bad and unadventurous? Will I have to assure them all I love them just the same???
..
i don’t think I thought this through

Every tea cosy merits five star treatment. After all, we do our best to keep them warm and cosy by allowing them to nestle on teapots don’t we? How kind of you Barebraes to let it sit by the windscreen vents in your car to make it feel at home.
Looking forward to further tales of its travels.

No wonder Mister Buddha is smiling…
If you need the help of an amanuensis, just drop me a line…
Maybe if you email mrlnlass, your Majesty, she will give you the necessary details. But I expect you’ve already done it…don’t take any notice of me, I’m just a simple kitty…

The cosy should have been on the Buddha’s head, to keep him warm. It is quite inappropriate Barebraes to put a cosy on the Buddha’s crotch. What on earth could you have been thinking of?!

I didn’t know the protocol with buddha’s head and thought the lap a safer bet

Next destination, Barebraes- think Mirnlass expressed a desire to have it for a visit, haven’t got round to emailing her just yet- too many beds to strip whilst sun shines!! Will get onto it as soon as i can. Thank you FC, for keeping me straight, you’re a Very Useful Kitty…

Thank goodness. I could so easily have been a Very Useful Pussy

I can see your dilemma barebraes. It could be construed as disrespec’ful to shove a teacosy on Buddha’s head. Even such an auspicious teacosy as that one

Barebraes, did you get in touch with Mirnlass OK? Just arrived back from a slightly demented day in Millport, so only just got on computer!!

This is surely all part of some cunning plan to KEEP the holy teacosy of Cardy in the Orkney isles.
18 barebraeson 26 Apr 2009 at 7:07 pm
Alas the Tea Cosy has left Orkney Waters destined for Bressay and another exciting adventure

Look forward to seeing the next instalment Mirlnlass
